I have to say that meeting everyone on the Steering committee and being able to help with the Walkersville Marker for the Crew of 328 has been an Honor for me. I have always thought of them and the Families and Friends, My Heart as well as many from the town of Walkersville have been with you All. Take Care Everyone. My husband and I (Bill and Donna) were roommates with Randy Moffett. There hasn't been a day that goes by that we haven't thought about him. That day will be etched in our minds forever. It is as if it happened just yesterday. This looks like a very nice memorial. Thanks you for remembering all the loved ones lost. It means a lot to those left behind. I remember this day so clearly. My middle son recently visited the Air Force museum and asked me about this memorial. You see his father Sam Fiore was due to be on this plane that day but for some reason his flight papers did not come through, he was new to ARIA at that time. I remember attending the memorial service and what a somber day it was. I've haven't been able to stand through the missing man formation quite the same since that day without thinking about the 21 people who lost their lives. By the grace of God my sons were able to grow up with their father unlike the other children of this flight who not only lost a father, but a mother too. Although Sam is now remarried to a wonderful woman, their is not a time that this topic is brought up that my mind doesn't drift off to what could have been and the families who suffered such great loss. You will forever be in our hearts and our prayers. Jeannie (Fiore) Riethman

I wish I could have made it out to Wright Patterson this year, for the gathering at the memorial tree grove. I could not make the trip so I went to Walkersville and spent my Morning at the 328 site, at 10:30 I thought about that day and how it effected the 328 families and myself and those of us in Walkersville who were there that may 6 1981. 27 years have gone and I am sure for many myself included it feels it had just happened. I cannot Thank you enough for allowing me to reflect with you. I know how personal a tragedy is, I to lost my Brother in November of 1981 the pain of loss is a terrible thing. the good memories prior to the events make it not so hard to get through. and those are achived through the bond you all share and and have shared with me since we have met.
