4 March 2007
Construction of the ARIA 328 Memorial for the target dedication date
of 6 May 2007 required us to have reached our target financial goal by 1
March 2007. We did not meet our goal for construction of the Memorial this
year.
When we approached the Town of Walkersville for the land donation, we
decided that the construction of the Memorial should be made in one stage.
We knew that to raise the $100,000.00 required for the construction in
2007 was extremely aggressive. This translates to having 1000 4x8 Memorial
Bricks sponsored.
When the ARIA 328 Memorial in Walkersville is completed it will be a
beautiful tribute to the Crew and Passengers of ARIA 328 and to the
Walkersville Fire Department and other first responders.
We need you to meet our new target completion date for the summer of 2008.
I want to thank all of you that have donated. Without you we would not be
able to meet our goal. Not only have you provided financial support, you
have given a part of yourself in support of this worthy mission.

I want to thank everyone that stopped by our booth at the Walkersville
Fire Department Carnival.
The purpose of our presence at the Carnival was to share with the
community the history that we share in the loss of ARIA 328 and the
history of the Advanced Range Instrumentation Aircraft Program. We
informed the community of the construction of the ARIA 328 Memorial and
provided them a way to participate in supporting the Memorial.
Many of you shared with us the events of 6 May 1981 and showed us how
important it is to construct the ARIA 328 Memorial. The monetary support
that was given is truly appreciated. For me, the high point in the week
was when a Boy Scout from the local Troop inquired to what he could do to
help in the construction of the Memorial. I will be contacting him and his
Troop leader in the coming days.
I want to thank the representatives of a number of organizations that
stopped by that want to help with the construction of the Memorial. I want
to thank the Walkersville Fire Department for supporting the construction
of the ARIA 328 Memorial and for supplying us a great spot at the
Carnival.
Finally, I want to thank David and Mark Denn and Family for providing and
setting up our Booth at the Carnival and for making my Family feel at
home.

I have just returned from the 25th Annual ARIA 328 Memorial Service and
Reunion in Florida. The fellowship that was shared has made the past week
extremely memorable and is a testament to the bond that ties the ARIA
Alumni and the ARIA 328 family.
In the coming week I will provide pictures of the Memorial Service and
other information and stories to the web site.
I want to thank Richard Donnelly for all of his hard work in making the
Reunion a reality. You have done well.

We here at the ARIA 328 Memorial Foundation have had a very blessed
year. We have found new family in the Town of Walkersville. We have
organized and created the ARIA 328 Memorial Foundation and obtained tax
exempt status without any obstacles.
The Burgess, Commissioners, Park Committee, and the Town Manager,
have worked with us with open arms. It is only because of their support
that we can construct the ARIA 328 Memorial in Walkersville, words cannot
describe how grateful we are.
I want to wish everyone a happy and safe new year.
